Poachers caught in flagrante delicto by the Raspberry Pi

Poachers are still hunting and slaughtering animals in danger of extinction, pero las personas que se dedican a salvaguardar a estos animales tienen una nueva herramienta para su protección: una red de cámaras gestionadas por una Raspberry Pi.

The cameras are hidden in key places, where to take a maximum of 30 photos by day, then they pass that information through satellites to England, where detailed information is displayed and is classified.

El proyecto es una colaboración entre la Sociedad Zoológica de Londres (ZSL) y el Servicio de Vida Silvestre de Kenia, which used a kit developed by Cambridge Consultants.

The cameras use a connection to a central node powered by one Raspberry Pi.
